Comedy so good
it's practically criminal.
Ahmed Al-Kadri turns immigrant-kid chaos and roommate anxiety into stand-up you'll actually quote later.
About Ahmed
Ahmed Al-Kadri is a Yemeni-American comedian based in LA. As a kid in Dallas, he dreamed of being an accountant β but his immigrant parents forced him into comedy instead.
He got his start early: impressions of his mom's Turkish soap operas, spot-on Mr. Bean, and merciless imitations of his siblings. His dad was the kind of extrovert whose house was always full of guests, and Ahmed inherited that gift for connecting with everyone β memorizing one-liners and testing them on the kids at school the next day.
An improv class at Dallas Comedy House in 2016 kicked off the professional journey. He co-founded the troupe Sunglow, headlined weekends, and traveled the country β from the Del Close Festival in New York to stages in Kansas City, Baltimore, and Oklahoma City.
In 2018 he moved to LA for stand-up, and built a following of over a million on TikTok and Instagram with sketches like "Roommates with Anxiety," "Arab at an Indian Wedding," and the beloved "Arab Roommate" series. His "F-Boi Rehab" run got picked up by BuzzFeed. You may also spot him as Liam on the web-series "David Diamondhands" β or on Fox's Love Connection. (It wasn't a match. He got a good story out of it.)
Today Ahmed connects through funny, heartfelt stories about the little things you just have to laugh at. Off stage? Bike tours around LA, teaching improv at rehab centers, and writing far-too-serious Yelp reviews for restaurants near Hollywood.
